Senior Project Officer/Senior Contracts Officer/Business Manager

This is a pool recruitment process for fixed term and permanent full-time vacancies.

Currently there is one permanent appointment and three fixed-term full time contracts available for immediate filling for a period of between 12 to 40 months with the possibility of extension.

ABOUT THE ROLES

Senior Project Officer

The Senior Project Officer coordinates, tracks and monitors strategic corrections projects and initiatives on behalf of the Strategic Corrections Projects Branch.

The Senior Project Officer will provide support to the Project Director and will be required to coordinate and track the timely delivery of the project deliverables in support of the project’s objectives.

Senior Contracts Officer

The Senior Contracts Officer contributes to the achievement of the Branch’s outcomes ensuring the Department receives high quality services and value for money from its contracts. The position holder develops, negotiates and re-negotiates contracts and variations.

Additionally, the Senior Contracts Officer is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the performance of service providers and the contract management processes. A demonstrated understanding of contract management is essential.

Business Manager Projects

The Business Manager Projects coordinates, tracks and monitors strategic corrections projects, programs and initiatives on behalf of the Strategic Corrections Projects Branch to inform the Corporate Executive.

They proactively contribute toward the development and maintenance of best practice project management tools, templates, and resource for use across the Department.

They ensure that resources including human, financial, and physical assets are available and effectively deployed and coordinate financial management procedures for the Strategic Corrections Projects Branch.

About Strategic Corrections Projects Branch

The Strategic Corrections Projects branch is responsible for managing and supporting projects of significant strategic importance to Corrective Services.

The branch supports the successful delivery of these projects by developing and administering project management frameworks and working alongside Corrective Services business areas to deliver projects that support strategic priorities.

About Operational Contract Management Branch

The Operational Contract Management Branch is accountable for the contract management of the Department’s privately-operated prison and the electronic monitoring service including contract administration, monitoring performance, relationship management, risk management, governance and record keeping.

POOL RECRUITMENT

This pool will be open for a period of 24 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
