The role
Reporting to the Property Services Manager, you will provide advice in relation to a wide range of property management matters for a state-wide regional property portfolio, including land and tenure acquisition, disposal, leasing / licensing, easements, planning and development, encroachments, property valuations and land resumptions.
Other responsibilities will include:
Providing advice to Sunwater stakeholders regarding relevant property related matters, regulatory compliance and governmental policy associated with State land
Developing and implementing corporate policies, procedures, and systems to ensure optimal management of Sunwater’s property portfolio
Managing negotiations in complex property management and land tenure issues
Working with the Sunwater business to ensure Sunwater’s property portfolio achieves the required state and federal environmental sustainability objectives for management and reporting
Assisting with the formulation and implementation of strategies for long-term management and rationalisation of land.
Assisting in the implementation and training in the use of the new Property Information Management System (PIMS)
About you
Sunwater is looking for someone with Experience in a similar role providing recommendations to support key decision-making and strategic planning. Furthermore, you will also have practical experience in property management for a large, diverse property portfolio.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
Ability to build strong working relationships across teams to achieve organisational outcomes
Well-developed knowledge of the legislative framework and business environment for property and land management, land titling systems and land tenure
Well-developed knowledge and understanding of legal documents relating to property transactions
Use of organisational systems (record management system, property database, Arc GIS system, project management system)
Planning and project management skills
Well-developed negotiation and consultation skills, with ability to facilitate and resolve disputes relating to land matters
