About the role
The Psychologist (Senior - Paediatrics) position provides high level psychological assessment and intervention to patients receiving care at Ipswich Hospital. The Ipswich Psychology Service delivers clinical, health, and neuropsychology services to inpatients and outpatients of Ipswich Hospital and Community Health. As a senior member of the Ipswich Psychology Service, this position also provides clinical leadership within the hospital and community health.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Clinical Knowledge and Expertise
- High level clinical expertise and skill within a child and youth health setting, including psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment skills. Knowledge of the provision of psychology services in a community health and/or hospital-based service.
Communication and Team Participation
- High level verbal and written skills in application to effective communication with child and youth patients, Psychologists, and multi-disciplinary team members in a hospital and/or community health setting.
Service and Professional Development
- Commitment to continuous service improvement through leading quality improvement and research activities. Actively contributes to a learning environment through clinical supervision, mentoring, and skill sharing.
