Senior Quality & Ims Officer

Hofmann Engineering is amongst the largest and most progressive specialist in heavy equipment manufacturers in Australia.  The company services customers ranging from the world’s great resource and mining conglomerates, through to leaders in international aerospace and defence technology.

A vacancy exists in our Quality Department for a reliable, multi skilled person with a ‘can-do’ attitude. 

You will be responsible for:

• Support the Group QM to manage the Implementation of ISO9001:2015 
• Prepare and chair Customer Quality Audits if Group QM unavailable.
• Support Group QM to prepare Quality Certification Audits related to ISO9001 and AS9100 (including follow up and closing of findings).
• Prepare and conduct Internal Quality Audits (incl. documentation and follow up) as per the Internal Audit Schedule including all Hofmann sites.
• Support the Customer Survey Process and ensure surveys are done in a timely manner; escalate if off track
• Support all departments so they can improve their Quality KPIs.
• Ensure the targets for the Bassendean Quality KPIs  are met and escalate if off track
•  Management of controlled Documents as per QA008.
• Prepare and present Quality statistics and issues to the Group QM for the Quality Management Review meetings.
• Identify and manage quality risks.
• Support all departments to manage and close NCRs according to QA002.
• Assure thorough root cause analysis and appropriate corrective actions.
•  Develop and conduct Quality process trainings including QnAs where applicable.
• Make improvements of the IMS as a result of external and internal Quality learning outcomes including Risk Management.
   

Qualifications, skills and characteristics:

• Industrial experience in Quality Assurance and Inspection.
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO9001 and AS9100
• Good communication skills.
• Good documentation skills.
• Attention to detail
• Computer skills: ERP Systems and Microsoft Suite of Office Software
