The Senior Radiographer provides a high level of clinical land technical expertise in the performance of Computer Tomography (CT) of deceased persons undergoing a coronial investigation. The role also provides PACS and other medical imaging software support for locally acquired and incoming external medical imaging data sets. This position is not responsible for any direct reports.

The successful candiate will deliver high level Medical Imaging services and actively participate in a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. Aditionally, you will provide high quality and effective advice, training and support and provide input in the development of practices, procedures, protocols and research projects within the Medical Imaging work area to support coronial investigations.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- High level of knowledge, expertise and skill in Medical Imaging (particularly CT Scanning)
- Ability to participate in a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to apply established principles or modify principles to suit the Medical Imaging service requirements within Forensic Pathology.
- Ability, or the ability to rapidly acquire the skills, to provide guidance to other Forensic Pathology staff including Forensic Pathologists and licensed operators in medical imaging and related research projects within the discipline.

- Hold a Bachelor of Applied Science or equivalent in Medical Diagnostic Radiography / Medical Imaging or Medical Radiation Science.
- Registrable as a Medical Imaging Technologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Hold a Use Licence – Diagnostic Radiography – Radiation Safety Act, 1999.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/ manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
