We are currently recruiting a Senior RAM Engineer to work on an exciting Green Energy mining fleet program, working to develop cutting-edge technical solutions.
Location- Perth, WA
Duration- 12 month casual contract (possibility of Permanent role)
Rate- Up to $125hr incl. super
Responsibilities
- Conduct RAM analyses to identify critical components, failure models and potential risks in heavy haulage locomotive systems
- Utilise FMEA and FMECAs to assess reliability, availability and maintainability of fleet
- Experienced in producing RAM Plans, RAM Modelling, RAM Analyses techniques (Reliability Block Diagrams, FMECA, Availability predictions, MTTR etc)
- Work with design engineers to integrate RAM requirements into locomotive design processes, aimed at enhancing reliability and minimising downtime.
- Plan and oversee testing procedures to validate the performance of assets under varying operating conditions and stress factors.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure components meet RAM requirements and quality standards
- Develop maintenance strategies and schedules based on RAM data, as well as implement predictive maintenance techniques and condition monitoring systems.
- Prepare documentation and data such as RAM analysis reports, reliability models and predictions – communicating findings with relevant stakeholders.
Required Experience
- Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline e.g. Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer or similar
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within rolling stock, or OEM in heavy equipment manufacturing domain
- Expertise in compliance with EN 50126
- Familiarity with Reliability software such as Isograph (AWB or RWB), Reliasoft
- Proficiency in producing RAM techniques, FMEA, FMECA, RBD, FTA etc
- Knowledge of industry standards (AAR, AREMA, IEEE, CENELEC)
