Role Summary:
Embark on an exceptional opportunity within our dynamic Future Energy business unit, based in Perth CBD, as a Senior Reliability Engineer. Reporting directly to the Manager – Asset Strategy, this role plays a pivotal part in overseeing the performance and reliability of the expanding Synergy Renewable fleet and Distributed Energy Resources, integral to meeting the future energy demands of the SWIS grid. Given the diverse asset locations, occasional travel to sites is expected.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Conducting comprehensive reliability analyses and risk assessments to pinpoint potential failures and root causes, driving effective permanent solutions.
- Gathering and analysing reliability data to ensure continuous monitoring of system performance and timely action.
- Orchestrating Asset Management Plans for the managed fleet to provide precise information for State Budget Forecasts.
- Cross functional collaboration activities through workshop facilitation/or coordination with various stakeholders through various techniques such as FMECA, Bowtie Assessment, management of change and ICAM / RCA.
- Develop appropriate work standards, policies, and procedures, and ensure they are consistently applied as well as provide expertise, guidance, and support to complete critical corrective actions that arises from performance assessment.
- Tertiary degree in an Engineering / Technical discipline or exemplary relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in an operational environment performing reliability, asset performance function.
- Basic understanding of inverters technologies and power system infrastructure.
- Understanding of process safety principles and familiarity with asset management practises.
- Practical approach and comfortable in dealing with ambiguity to decipher a complex problem to methodical steps to resolve it.
