Senior Research And Evaluation Officer, Quit

Within the Behavioural Science Division, the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer’s (CBRC) mission is to conduct high quality applied behavioural research to inform and influence cancer prevention policies, programs and services, in order to reduce the impact of cancer on the Victorian community. CBRC also leads the Research and Evaluation activities of the Quit Program, including for the “QuitHub” national digital smoking and vaping cessation platform.

We are seeking a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer, Quit to join CBRC. Reporting to the Senior Research and Evaluation Manager, Quit your role is to:

• Define Research and Evaluation questions and select appropriate data collection methods
• Create UX research artifacts, such as recommended user journey maps and personas
• Draw conclusions from quantitative and qualitative data to support ongoing product development and learning, and development of recommendations for the planning of future initiatives, including product enhancements relevant to the “QuitHub”
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to help translate Research and Evaluation insights into practice

We are looking for someone with:

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, public health, evaluation, cognitive science, behavioural science, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience designing and conducting UX research studies
• Demonstrated experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods and issues in behavioural research or evaluation
• Effective stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to get buy-in from stakeholders on the work being done, and explain Research and Evaluation findings

• Base salary of $81,536 to $91,674 p.a. (dependant on experience, pro rata for part time) plus 11% superannuation
