Senior Research Funding Officer - Post Award

(HE07) $95,017 - $106,270 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Continuing opportunity available for a Senior Research Funding Officer (Post Award)

Working under limited direction, with a degree of autonomy, the Senior Research Funding Officer (Post Award) is accountable for the provision of high quality central support to post-award management of funded research projects.

This role will ensure a team focus on customer service and providing a positive customer experience, ensuring efficient and effective provision of Post Award research administration functions, and monitoring and implementing the Research Grants, Contracts and Consultancies policy for the University.   You may also be required to provide support for the pre-award submission of Research Funding applications during peak periods.

To be successful you will need:

• Demonstrated ability to provide high quality advice to staff on Post AwardResearch Funding administration issues.
• Demonstrated ability in the effective use of computer applications (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint), internet browsers, and information systems (preferably in research management information systems).
• Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and written communication skills (including the ability to prepare correspondence for internal and external audiences, and briefing papers for management).
• Demonstrated high-level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently, with proven experience mentoring and providing guidance to junior staff members.
• A high level of self-motivation, initiative, creativity and sound judgement.

The successful candidate should have excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, plan actions and work well to tight (externally imposed) deadlines.
