Older Persons Mental Health unit (K7A) under Western Sydney Local Health District.
What you'll be doing
To provide effective Mental Health services to the patients while working under supervision, in order to develop basic knowledge in psychiatric practice, in a complex clinical environment under Older Persons Mental Health unit(K7A). The SRMO will provide general psychiatric care to patients under the supervision of a consultant psychiatrist and registrar under Older Persons Mental Health unit(K7A) with in western Sydney local health district.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Must have completed at least 2 Post Graduate Years in a Hospital with a minimum of 12 months experience working as a Medical Officer (not observer) in an Australian Public Hospital.
- Demonstrated experience in taking a comprehensive patient history, performing clinical examinations and accurately documenting treatment in the patients record.
- Able to make sound decisions in accordance with level of experience and awareness of limitations and the ability to learn independently from experience and improve clinical practice.
- Proven ability to treat colleagues and patients with respect in a culturally diverse environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team to ensure the appropriate management of the patient.
- A professional attitude with flexibility in work role and NSW unrestricted driver’s
