AddressThe Senior Finance Business Partner serves as a crucial link between the finance function and various departments. This role involves regular interaction with their portfolio GMs and leadership team, to drive improvement and transformation initiatives, providing financial insights to support decision-making, and ensuring alignment between financial goals and operational strategies.
The Senior Finance Business Partner is responsible for overseeing financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and providing commercial finance support to optimize business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
● Regular and ongoing engagement with designated portfolios to drive improvement and transformation initiatives.
● Periodic reporting of actual results compared to budget/forecast, analyzing key drivers, and providing actionable insights.
● Hold portfolios accountable to performance metrics and budgets while offering support to identify and mitigate risks.
● Provide support and input into planning and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
● Provide insight to aid and enhance visibility specifically regarding inventory management alongside unit/packaging costing.
● Take a lead on finance matters within the designated portfolio.
● Ensuring close engagement with key stakeholders, particularly within warehousing and logistics for an e-commerce business, to optimize operational efficiencies.
● Engage with other leads/Business Partners such as People, Data and Analytics team to ensure operational efficiency and achievement of key operating metrics, or identification of risks of underachievement.
● Developing a detailed understanding of unit economics and supply chain characteristics to ensure efficient resource utilization across the business.
● Providing commercial and financial support to new business cases, including financial modelling, analysis, and risk assessment.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
● Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
● Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent required.
● Proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering or similar role, preferably within the e-commerce, supply chain and fulfilment sector.
● Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
