About the role
Allan’s Pool Shop is seeking a reliable, honest and hard-working Retail Sale Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with demonstrated experience in a similar role. This would suit someone who is naturally mathematically minded and has great communication skills as the applicant will have varied responsibilities across pool servicing, and maintenance.
Requirements
- High level of Pool industry knowledge
- Strong Technicial, pool equipment, water chemistry and pool chemical knowledge
- Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards clients and a clean and professional appearance.
- Opens and closes store when required
- Perform cash handling, register operation and EFT
- Completes customer orders
- Complete a variety of records and reports, including maintenance sheets, water quality sheets, chemical consumption, and equipment orders
- Contribute to the establishment and updating of store policies and procedures
- Completes work assigned by Store Manager
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously, without supervision
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and a focus on compliance and WHS procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with the public.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good computer skills
- Maintenance and general cleaning duties of the storeroom
Qualifications/Experience:
- Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
- 8 years min retail sale experience
- 5 years min retail sale experience in Pool industry
- Must have Pool technician knowledge and past work experience
- Good fit for ex -pool cleaners/ techs with strong Pool technician background
