Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
The aim of this role is to: * Support the development, implementation and ongoing review and assurance for QBCC's Business Continuity Framework, including, reviewing and analysing business impact assessments and assisting in the development of recovery plans.
- Support the coordination of QBCC's annual insurance renewal program to ensure key timeframes are met for the placement of Insurance policies including the collation of required information from internal stakeholders.
- Apply QBCC's risk management framework, related risk documents and tools to the effective identification, management, monitoring and reporting of risk.
- Lead the team's provision of advice and support on operational risk matters across QBCC divisions and support the Principal Risk Advisor in delivering strategic risk advice and support to the senior leadership team.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and staff, helping to identify and support work units impacted by risk, requiring assistance with risk management activities, or responding to risk related recommendations or actions.
- Research and analyse contemporary risk trends and issues, including complex and/or sensitive material.
- Contribute to the preparation of timely, accurate and succinct risk reports, presentations and papers supporting QBCC's governance requirements and communication to internal and external audiences.
- Other duties as required or deemed necessary for the position.
You will be assessed on your capability and capacity for the following in the context of the accountabilities above. * Demonstrated knowledge and experience of implementing and managing risk management frameworks in accordance with Australian Standards.
- The ability to develop and implement programs to uplift knowledge and capability.
- The ability to plan, manage workloads independently and engage confidently with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet targets and deliver outcomes.
- Effective time, problem solving and project management skills and the ability to delegate and explain tasks appropriately in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including attention to detail and running quality control over deliverables.
- Proactively contributes to the team's culture, values, development and working practices to support a collaborative, healthy and inclusive workplace.
- Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is mandatory. Prior experience using Risk Management platforms or systems would be advantageous.
