- Salary: $86,950 to $96,223 - PO2 - Full Time / Ongoing appointment
Overview:
- Assists in the administration of the South Australian Safe Drinking Water Act 2011 with a particular focus on providing advice to drinking water providers and undertaking audits /inspections of drinking water providers.
- Assists the Principal Water Quality Adviser in delivering specialist advice and policy direction on public health matters relating to Water Quality including the provision of drinking water and recycled water.
- Assists in providing a single 24-hour point of contact within Government for notification and communication of drinking water incidents and facilitates the development of a co-ordinated response to safeguard public health including, where required, communication of the incident to the public.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
- A DHS 'Working With Children Check' (WWCC) is required for this position
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
- The position will from time to time provide assistance in delivering a single 24 hour 7 days a week on-call contact within Government for notification of water and wastewater incidents.
- Some intrastate (particularly to regional country areas) and interstate work requiring overnight stays may be required. A current South Australian Drivers Licence and a willingness to drive is essential.
