Position Overview:
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing security solutions for their clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding clients' networks, systems, and data against evolving cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
- Work with vendors to develop a solution architecture, with associated professional services providing ongoing support scope and effort.
- Requires and excellent knowledge of enterprise-scale network and infrastructures.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential security risks.
- Respond promptly to security breaches or unauthorised access attempts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- 5+ years of experience in a technology-based security environment, preferably within a Managed Services Provider (MSP).
- Extensive hands-on experience with security technologies, including Cisco, Fortinet, and other leading vendors.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network security devices, such as firewalls, switches, and routers.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, VPNs, and encryption technologies.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
