Form of workA leading Financial Services provider is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer with strong Checkpoint, Juniper SRX and F5 expertise to join their team on an initial twelve month contract.
Joining a stable, collaborative team environment, this role will be responsible for the working on the build and deployment of project initiatives within their large, complex network. This will include the planning, implementation, operational management, build, configuration and troubleshooting of Network Security devices.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant vendor certifications
- Demonstrated network engineering (operations and project) experience gained within large, complex network environments
- Proven knowledge and experience configuring, deploying and troubleshooting Network Security devices with advanced knowledge and experience with Checkpoint, Juniper SRX and F5 (LTM, GTM, APM, ASM)
- Strong knowledge and experience of routing and switching including BGP, OSPF, VXLAN and VTP
- Previous experience with IPS tools is highly regarded, as is any experience writing Python scripts or using Ansible
- Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently as required
