This opportunity
The prime accountability is to work on agreed nominated set of systems (F5 & DNS) & be familiar with technologies such as DC routing & switching, F5 LTM, GTM, firewalls, proxies within the Network Service Engineering Domain. You will help manage the nominated platforms / systems in relation to lifecycle, capacity, performance, and risk management.
You will enable and support Architecture and Delivery teams in the planning, design, and execution of relevant solutions & business project outcomes. You will ensure a close working relationship with the other engineering domains, the broader Technology organisation, and the relevant vendors.
Responsibilities
- Work with relevant architectural and project teams towards domain impacting solutions and projects,
- Review and align that solutions & design standard are followed, highlight potential deviations that may impact capacity, performance, lifecycle, security objectives
- Support project teams through design approval, testing and acceptance
- Contribute to the system architectural and capability evolution
- Participate in long range planning (LRP) activities
- Engage with relevant vendors including the managed services vendors to ensure acceptable capacity lifecycle and performance management of systems and network interfaces
- Participate in weekly change meetings/forums to assess changes and impacts
- Participate in weekly design meetings/forums to review detail designs
Knowledge and experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in architecture solutions or related field
- Proven experience working in designing and implementing solutions
- Strong experience with F5 & DNS
- Exposure to DC routing & switching, F5 LTM, GTM, firewalls, proxies within the Network Service Engineering Domain
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven solution architecture and design experience of Data Centre solutions
- Ability to create and execute client workshops and proof of concepts
