AddressWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Policy Advisor to join our collaborative team!
Reporting to the Head of Security Policy and Compliance, you will be responsible for supporting the team in managing all aspects of BAC’s Security Policy, compliance, audit, and review programs. This encompasses BAC’s security management systems, security equipment, and physical security measures.
This is a permanent full-time role based at our Sky Gate Head Office.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Delivering strategic and operational interpretations and advice on the requirements of the Aviation Transport Security Act, Aviation Transport Security Regulations, Aviation Screening Notices and other relevant legislation.
• Monitoring, interpreting, and reporting on regulatory changes related to aviation security legislation and advising on how they may impact BAC.
• Reviewing and updating security plans and other documentation including BAC’s Transport Security Program (TSP), standards, processes and operating procedures to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement BACs Security Management System (SeMS) in line with current manuals and standards.
• Review and conduct quality assurance activities in relation to:
o Physical security controls, equipment, and activities.
o Aviation security compliance and associated activities including reviews of contracted service provider procedures, documentation, training records.
o Compliance documentation and supporting tools to ensure currency.
• Ensure other airport security regulatory obligations are met and procedures align with BAC TSP expectations.
• Provide subject matter expert advice to the business and Project Managers during the implementation of key security related projects.
• Collaboratively develop and deliver security compliance training activities with SP&C team members.
• Reviewing and updating security plans and other documentation including BAC’s Transport Security Program (TSP), standards, processes and operating procedures to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
Experience & Qualifications
• Excellent knowledge of the Aviation Transport Security Act and Regulations and Aviation Screening Notices and other associated legislation.
• Sound knowledge and or experience in security risk management and the function and operation of physical and electronic equipment and controls.
• Sound knowledge of aviation security requirements at a major airport.
• Possess or ability to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC).
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of packages.
• Sound knowledge of the principles of ICAO Annex 17 (Preferred).
• Experience in a security compliance role, preferably within the aviation or transport sectors. (Preferred)
