- ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures and relevant Commonwealth legislation across WHS and Wellbeing
- proactively contribute to the development, implementation and review of WHSMS framework documentation to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance
- provide sound advice and guidance on best practice WHS and Wellbeing to build manager and employee capability and
- enable sustained and continual improvement across the department
- review and advise on incident investigation and risk management activities, including monitoring and analyzing
- WHS data to identify trends, emerging issues and improvement opportunities and report on performance quarterly
- assist in the management and implementation of employee
- assistance programs and other early intervention programs
- manage and develop wellbeing initiatives to support employee wellbeing with a physical, emotional and/or psychological focus
- develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships and represent Safety, Wellbeing and People support, as well as People Branch in a positive manner.
- provides support to WHS networks (health and safety representatives, First Aid Officers, Workplace Contact Officers) across the department to address issues and concerns.
