Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic and customer service-oriented Senior SecurityTechnician/Site Supervisor to join our Victoria operations.

The Role

As a Senior SecurityTechnician/Site Supervisor, you will be part of a highly skilled team with involvement in all aspects of our Victoria operations.

This position is responsible for providing high level customer and technical support for installed systems, CCTV, Access Control Systems, Intercom, Visitor Management Systems, and other cloud based or IP systems as well as having a supervisory role on site. 

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”.

  • Always acts as “our customer’s best service provider” thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service. This is not only through providing a solution to the service call, but ability to communicate with client on site about faults and update your scheduling team accordingly.
  • Respond to routine and some non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems; install projects, as necessary.
  • Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customers and Convergint promptly to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.
  • Rostered after-hours emergent service calls; 8-week cycle
  • Work with our remote IT team who will provide support on site.
  • Assist with the development and updating of best practice techniques.

To be successful in the role you will need to have:

  • High level communication skills - written, oral, and interfacing with clients.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to the Security Industry.
  • Good planning and project management skills and the ability to prioritise issues and tasks.
  • Experience in supervising a small team and driving performance.
  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
  • An understanding of quality assurance principles and their application.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proficiency in MS Office applications.

Requirements:

Mandatory

  • Solid technical skills and/or experience related to electronic security systems. 
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as Security Service Technician with industry or trade qualifications
  • Ability to manage deliverables of a small team. 
  • Have or Eligible to obtain a Victoria Security License.
  • Car driver's license
  • Cabler’s licence
  • Passion for technology and industry changes.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.

Highly Desirable

  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude 
  • OH&S card.
  • Experience with various EACS systems Gallagher, Integriti and Lenel preferred.
  • Experience in IT including IP CCTV, IP intercoms and networking experience with Genetec, Avigilon, Milestone preferred.
  • Have or willing to obtain EWP license.
  • Have or willing to have a police check completed as required by some of our clients sites.
