Senior Service Delivery Officer

As the Senior Service Delivery Officer, you will provide technical capability and support to ICT services across the department. The role will be accountable for the curation and ingestion of data sets into relevant data warehouse systems, including security administration and process within the systems, along with the provision of practical advice and reports to key stakeholders within the department. The role will deliver effective outcomes using various ICT tools and within existing frameworks, governance, standards and policies, to maintain high levels of stakeholder satisfaction. You will ensure service levels are met or exceeded, the continuous health, operational availability and capability of ICT platforms and services whilst ensuring completion of projects on time and within budget.
Accountabilities
The following accountabilities broadly define the role expectations of this position: * Provide authoritative advice and sound recommendations on data collections, definitions and business rules to meet internal and external analytics, security and reporting requirements.

• Provide authoritative advice on making large and/or complex data accessible, understandable, and usable, and use appropriate data visualisation techniques and methods to convey key messages.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, development, and enhancement of existing data storage and reporting platforms and systems.
• Provide subject matter expertise, support and leadership for the VPSC Cloud, CRM, Data warehouse and reporting tools (specifically Azure, Salesforce, SQL).
• Validate data quality requirements and resolve data quality issues.

Key selection criteria
The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following key selection criteria while demonstrating a commitment to the Departments values

• Data Literacy. Possesses deep experience designing robust and secure end to end technical solutions in Azure to ingest, normalise, transform and model data from a range of sources, including expertise across data management, data governance, metadata, and data lifecycle managementHighly developed data analytics, data engineering, database development and data architecture capabilities.

• Digital and Technological Literacy. Possesses deep expertise working with large enterprise Cloud, CRM, Data warehouse and reporting tools (specifically Azure, Salesforce, SQL), using data from internal and external sources, to combine, manage and maintain underlying structures and reporting frameworks.

• Project Delivery. Translates strategies into programs or projects that enables achievement of outcomes required; defines governance (e.g. success measures, roles and responsibilities, progress monitoring) required to manage risks and maximise probability of success

• Business and Commercial Acumen. Experience in managing technology vendors, understanding of procurement concepts, experience maximising return of investment, value add to organisations through commercial negotiations.

• Innovation and Continuous Improvement. Experience engaging with stakeholders, understanding business requirements to design and implement systems and changes for continuous improvement within the organisation.

Experience and qualifications
The successful candidate will have:

• Experience commencing and managing IT and data projects end to end, including scoping, implementation, stakeholder management, reporting, risk management
• Experience working in MS Azure Data Platform (Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake)
• Experience with building data life-cycle patterns, from data sourcing, ingest, normalisation and service effectiveness, security, and governance principles
• Experience with test planning, test case design, test data preparation, test execution, data validation, and evidence capturing will be highly regarded
• Extensive experience in CRM tools, specifically Salesforce
• Extensive experience in ETL processes and automation of data pipelines
• Extensive experience in MS full BI stack (MS SQL, SSIS, SSAS-Tabular, SSRS)
• Extensive experience in MS SQL database development and reporting

One or more of the following will be highly regarded:

• Tertiary qualifications in ICT, Engineering or Business and/or equivalent experience.
• Product specific certification (e.g. MS Azure, SQL).
• Service Management certification (e.g. ITIL).
• Experience with MS Power BI Development and DAX measures
