A bit about the role
The Senior Service Planning Specialist position sits within the Strategy, Innovation and Transformation department. In this role you will lead the planning of and future design for Council’s service to be strategic, sustainable and future focused to meet the needs of the community. Providing expert guidance and high-level technical advice, you will work with a diverse range of internal stakeholders to develop strategic service plans, and lead service reviews.
What you’ll deliver
- Lead the planning and future design of Council services through Strategic Service Planning and Service Reviews, applying sound project management, change management and engagement approaches.
- Partner with service owners and key internal stakeholders across the business.
- Communicate complex information to stakeholders in an efficient and meaningful way to ensure understanding and commitment to service changes.
- Lead research and analysis of current trends to provide sound recommendations for innovative service delivery.
- Enhance service delivery and capacity across the organisation through service transformation efficiencies.
What you’ll bring
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationship and networks at all levels within the organisation with exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in Service Planning, design, evaluation and review.
- Sound conceptual, analytical, problem solving skills
- Sound project management, change management and engagement skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within an outcome-focused and team-oriented environment
- Financial and business acumen to support and influence business decisions.
- Tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in business analysis, service model review or financial analysis.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check
