Our client is a safety regulator that manages compliance, accreditation and registration for commercial passenger vehicles, buses and the maritime sector.
About the role
The role involves a lot of written, excellent attention to detail and sound decision making against legislative requirements within a regulatory body.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment of complex medical and criminal matters.
- Working with multiple service providers and agencies to finalise applications relating to safety or criminal charges/convictions.
- Analyse and make decisions which are often high risk and time critical.
Skills and Experience
- The role would be a good fit for someone with experience in either paralegal work, human resources, policy writing and business writing.
- Previous experience in government or in roles involving case assessments where written decisions would be highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
