Senior Stockperson with extensive sheep experience required on a large merino enterprise in the West Wimmera, Victoria
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Sheep Stockman (stockwoman / stockperson / jackaroo / jillaroo) to become part of their team working on a sheep & mixed cropping operation in Western Victoria.
With the main emphasis on stock work, other duties will likely include:
- All aspects of sheep husbandry, merino breeding for wool, as well as both trading and fattening lambs
- Fencing and general upkeep of infrastructure around the farm
- Feeding out
- Operation and mechanical maintenance of all farm machinery eg. Tractors, front-end loaders, telehandlers, utes, ATVs & UTVs etc.
- Occassional truck driving (any truck licence advantageous)
- Workshop maintenance of farm machinery and equipment
- Hay and straw baling, stacking and transporting operations
- Adhere to Company OH&S protocols and procedures
- Ability to work autonomously as part of a larger farm team
