What you'll be doing
The Senior Social Worker is an integral part of the Mental Health multidisciplinary health care team. This position provides quality Social Work services within Mental Health Inpatient Services.
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualification as a Social Worker and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Demonstrated proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Extensive Mental Health Social Work knowledge and experience, clinical proficiency and ability to work with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective, strong and professional community networks.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidence based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to provide and coordinate staff and student supervision.
- Current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific DiseasesThis is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
