The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Wilbur software engineering team. This role is fully remote (work from home) and focuses on the development of our existing Wilbur Claims Manager Software-as-a-Service product.
We currently have three Scrum teams, following Trunk Based Development, and Continuous Delivery methodologies. Reporting to an Engineering Team Lead, this position will work with any other stakeholders required to complete the development of these products.
The technology mix is C# (ASP.NET Core) and Ruby for the backend, Angular for the frontend, hosted in AWS ECS, and Aurora (MySQL). This role will focus strongly on front end development, we also welcome those with full stack experience.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality code
- Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming
- Develop technical documentation
- Identify appropriate technical solutions that meet the objectives of the business
- Minimise solution complexity
- Work closely with other engineers, UX designers, product owners, and business analysts
- Work cooperatively with colleagues in a spirit of support and respect
- Assist team members to achieve sprint goals
- Minimise the impact of faults within the products
- Assist support staff in resolving user problems that relate to the technical performance of the product(s)
- Provide feedback on the effectiveness of the team and suggest improvements

Essential
- Degree or qualification in computer science or related industry experience
- Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript
- Efficient time management and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills to build strong working relationships, both written and verbal
- Proactive and results driven
- Experience working in a cloud-first environment, ideally AWS
- Experience working in and with remote teams
- Hands-on experience with Angular
