Our Digital team is continuously growing and we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us on a permanent role. You will be responsible for delivering world-class software to maintain, improve, and modernise Coles’ e-commerce systems.

About the role
The Senior Software Engineer will have experience working in large scale projects and heavy-traffic platforms and also experience with ecommerce, microservice and serverless architectures. Also, they will have good exposure to agile scrum working environments.
You have
Strong experience in Java and its frameworks
Ideally, experience with large organisations
Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
Extensive experience with Java as a programming language and its frameworks
Familiar with SQL databases
Experience in a cloud environment desirable
Experience with containerisation & release pipelines desirable
Tertiary qualifications in a technology engineering discipline such as computer science, information systems engineering, etc.
Excellent communication skills
