If you are a Back End Software Engineer with solid back end development experience leveraging the AWS resources (particularly the Amplify, serverless and AI services) and are looking for the opportunity to step up into a Tech Lead role.. then this is absolutely the role for you.Our new Back End Dev will join a Squad who develops and supports a range of enterprise applications for the Fisheries sectors in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
On a daily basis, you can expect to be…
- Involved in the design of the overall Front End and Back End architecture
- Leading feature builds whilst working closely with the Product Owner, Designer, Testers and Developers.
- Visualising architecture using digital diagrams, whiteboards and architectural views.
- Using your proven leadership skills in the design, development, testing and deployment within a squad
What's needed?
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Back-end development experience (ideally 3 years), specifically related to the AWS
- AWS Certification (but don't worry if you don't have one, we'll support you in gaining one!)
- A good sense of humour (our team is known to have a joke or two)
You are at heart an academic coder. Your exceptional coding skills, along with your intimate knowledge of AWS Architect framework, and experience in leading the technical and architectural aspects of software development will serve you well in this role.
You're a great team member and willing to work in a cross-functional team to solve issues collaboratively - you enjoy problem-solving and creative thinking to deliver better outcomes for client and team problems. You communicate well with people with diverse backgrounds through a variety of platforms and also have experience working with clients and accommodating fast-paced project delivery, using the Agile principle for software development.
