Individually we are a mix of backgrounds and know-hows; but we are fiercely united by our passion for health and together - we are head, heart, and a whole lot of guts.The OpportunityWe have a unique opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join Medibank's Digital and Ventures hub, working hands-on on our next generation of customer technology products.As an experienced Senior Software Engineer Leader, you will play an instrumental role in undertaking development activities required to deliver technology solutions that meet business needs.You will be working closely with product developers, designers, product owners, 3rd party vendors and other non-technical business stakeholders to manage the roadmap of our new ventures' product offerings.Key Responsibilities:

• Management of the Digital and Ventures AWS environments
• Estimate and carry out system-wide development work to time, budget and quality targets
• Expert in designing, configuring, building, deploying and maintaining complete solutions within an AWS environment
• Expert in configuring, building, deploying and maintaining CI/CD pipelining for products
• Writing maintainable, secure and well-tested code
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on projects and timelines
• Participate in agile ceremonies with a focus on delivering work on a 2-weekly sprint cadence

About you:As an experienced Senior Software Engineer, you will have extensive proven experience in similar roles where you have worked in an agile team using Scrum methodology. Start-up experience is highly advantageous.You also have experience building scalable MVP products in product-centric roles.You will have:

• Extensive software design and implementation leadership experience
• Experience with AWS Services; API gateway, Lambda
• Demonstrated strong Node.js, Next.JS, React experience
• GIT, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo or equivalent
• RESTful APIs and microservices patterns
