- To act as the legal representative for and on behalf of the State and its instrumentalities in relation to the management of dispute resolution and litigation matters for routine and complex construction and commercial projects.
- To assist agencies to instruct and manage the work of external firms and counsel to advise and act in dispute resolution and litigation matters.
- To undertake negotiations and consultation relevant to the work performed.
- To provide professional guidance and instruction to junior legal practitioners and para-legal staff.
- To perform such other professional work as may from time to time as directed by the Crown Solicitor and the State Litigator.
- Admitted or eligible for admission as a Barrister or Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania.
