About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to apply high level Speech Pathology skills and knowledge in the assessment and delivery of care to consumers in the local population to promote, maintain and improve their health, functional ability and quality of life.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high level speech pathology clinical services within Post-Acute Care model of care, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Apply professional judgement and high-level problem-solving skills to a complex caseload, with capability to adapt routine clinical practice using valid and reliable evidence, without the need for direct practice Supervision.
  • Collaborate across health, community and social service organisations to develop individualised care plans that reflect goals for care, empowering patients/clients to increase their active involvement in their health and healthcare
  • Work & lead cooperatively and effectively within the team and with patients/clients, their families, community groups, other health professionals, supervisors and students.
