As a member of the West Moreton palliative care multidisciplinary team you will provide high level professional clinical advice and education to clients and their families, other members of the multidisciplinary team, service providers and other stakeholders involved in the client’s care ensuring integrated palliative care services across the care continuum
Permanent part-time (15.2 hours per fortnight)
About the role
This role is responsible for providing high level knowledge, skills, experience and leadership in speech pathology management of patients with a life limiting illness across the care continuum. This role will be based across outpatient, community, and inpatient settings within West Moreton Health, and provide services as a member of the West Moreton Health palliative care multidisciplinary team.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- High level of clinical services and leadership in speech pathology practice in a variety of settings across the adult care continuum with demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice and expertise in accordance with organisational goals.
- High level communication skills with clients, service providers, co-workers, and managers at all levels that enable the development of improved service delivery outcomes and effective relationships.
- Proactive approach to own continuous learning / networking and shares information with the team to promote a learning environment.
- Ability to initiate, plan, implement, and evaluate local service improvement and/or research initiatives.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision to speech pathology staff, clinical assistants and students.
