Fixed term temporary part time opportunity to Deliver high level Speech Pathology clinical services and provide professional leadership within Redcliffe Hospital

About the role

Fixed term temporary part time opportunity deliver high level Speech Pathology clinical services to predominantly paediatric patients, and provide professional leadership within Redcliffe Hospital. This position is predominantly a paediatric position, providing both inpatient and outpatient Speech Pathology services in the clinical areas of complex feeding and swallowing disorders and complex communication, developmental and behavioural difficulties. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the advancement of quality speech pathology services and optimal client care through service improvement activities.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high level Speech Pathology clinical services across a paediatric caseload as a priority, in both inpatient and outpatient settings in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.  Opportunities exist to assist in the adult caseload if the successful applicant has the appropriate skill set.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively within the team and with clients, their families, community groups, other health professionals, supervisors and students.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvements within clinical service area, and initiate, plan and evaluate relevant service improvement activities.
  • Exercise independent judgement and problem solving skills, in matters beyond routine practice using valid and reliable evidence with infrequent clinical practice supervision.
