About the role
Provide clinical care to patients and effectively engage, on a day-to-day basis, the associated interdisciplinary patient care team to ensure the provision of appropriate patient care. In addition, provide professional leadership within persistent pain and provide training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other health care members.
Requirements for the role
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Hepatitis B and COVID-19.
- Tuberculosis screening - to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
- MBBS or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia plus FFPMANZCA or equivalent acceptable to the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FPM) of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and registrable as a pain medicine specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant qualification/s and registration must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
- Advanced clinical skills in pain medicine, particularly in interdisciplinary assessment and management of persistent non-cancer pain is desirable.
- Skills and experience in all facets of persistent pain management including non-interventional treatments and interventional pain medicine would be well regarded.
- Permanent full time or part time
- Estimated total remuneration up to $440,177 p.a., comprising:
- Senior Staff Specialist: Base salary from $225,777 - $239,377 p.a or base hourly rate from $108.18 - $114.69 p.h
- Staff Specialist: Base salary from $188,800 - $219,301 p.a or base hourly rate from $90.46 - $105.07 p.h
