Collaborate with laboratory scientific, technical and operational collegues to ensure service excellence.
Assist in developing and implementing frameworks and strategies to continue the development of the statewide Genetic Pathology service based on universal best practice and reflected through uniform standards and practices.

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated contemporary knowledge, skills and ability in diagnostic pathology, and high level of professionalism required in the position, especially objectivity.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills necessary for all aspects of the position.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to conduct relevant training, teaching, research, investigation, analysis and management
- Knowledge of the ISO 15189 and NATA Medical Testing Requirements demonstrating continued accreditation in your clinical specialty for all laboratories across a diverse network
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a medical qualification and tertiary qualification in the relevant Pathology discipline (FRCPA, or equivalent) and be registerable with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Specialist Pathologist.
- The incumbents must be Fellows of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia or equivalent. Candidates who are currently awaiting completion of college training time requirements for fellowship are welcome to apply – in which case please clearly state in your application the expected timeframe for completion, and what (if any) college assessment components are outstanding.

Interstate and international healthcare workers who move to Queensland to work for Queensland Health may be eligible for a $10,000 incentive payment on commencement. You will also receive another $10,000 after completion of a full 12 months of service in Queensland - Scheme 1
