The Senior Stakeholder and Engagement Officer plans and delivers tailored Stakeholder Engagement and communications functions to support the achievement of the department's priorities and program objectives. This includes developing and managing construction-specific engagement forums and activities to inform and influence internal and external industry stakeholders and uphold our reputation among key stakeholders.
Key accountabilities:
- Maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage key partners and provide updates regarding project status and implementation.
- Coordinate targeted communications and engagement activities with construction industry and NSW Government infrastructure delivery agencies.
- Provide support across the communications team, including Corporate Communications and Media and Parliamentary services teams.
- Manage, oversee and evaluate all aspects of planning, development and implementation for a range of communication and engagement initiatives including developing project plans, coordinating resources, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time and to quality standards and within agreed scope.
- Coordinate across the business to prepare draft briefing notes, event briefs and speaking notes, Budget Estimate papers and communications material including best practice case studies and digital content.
- Update website content and manage initiatives to drive online traffic.
- Provide advice and information to stakeholders through the preparation of high-quality communication material.
- Manage the inbox and team reporting
- Contribute to the development and implementation of communications strategies for identified projects and change management underpinned by quality research, analysis and best practice that supports the achievement of the organisational vision.
- Support the delivery of all internal and external communications activities.
- Support the inhouse digital platforms management, including regular updates, and collaborate with the broader team to deliver digital best practice.
