School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
Join our team as a Senior Statutory Planning Officer, where you will play a key role in providing specialist Statutory Planning advice to contribute to the successful delivery of school infrastructure projects aligned with NSW planning legislation. This position involves high-level responsibilities, including assessing development applications, preparing briefs and responses, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective planning, design, and delivery of SINSW infrastructure.

About You
The ideal candidate will possess:

- Be factual and leave no stone unturned, ensuring precision in project documentation, consultant reports, and submissions.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning and/or relevant experience of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and other relevant legislation as it effects land use and property development including licences, subdivision, rezoning and construction.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the value of public education.
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s and upholding the and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
