Our client, a leading family-owned business specialising in diverse construction solutions within the agricultural and commercial sectors, are currently seeking a dynamic and proficient full-time Senior Storeperson.
This encompasses inventory management, procurement, receiving, issuing, and storage of all items utilised across manufacturing and installation operations.
Additionally, the Storeperson is pivotal in facilitating the company's efficiency and effectiveness by delivering timely and precise assistance to manufacturing and installation personnel.
- Manage the overall operation of the company's tools, consumables, and materials store.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager, Fabrication Manager, Purchasing Manager, Project Administrator, and Site Supervisors.
- Develop and implement asset management and procurement strategies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stocktakes.
- Procure necessary tools, consumables, and materials in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards during receiving and issuing processes.
- Mentor and educate team members on best logistical practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Stores department.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a small manufacturing/installation environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management.
- Experience in equipment manufacturing and installation industry preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Australian workplace health and safety regulations desirable.
