About the role
Our Energy and Resources Engineering Division delivers specialist mining, energy, hydrogen and renewable energy projects across the country. These include process plant modifications, upstream flowlines, well leases, network gathering systems, major gas transmission pipelines, above ground processing facilities, as well as hydrogen facilities such as pipelines, refuelling stations, compression, microgrids and various renewable energy projects.

This diverse role will suit an ambitious, results driven and experienced Senior Structural Engineer who has a proven track record in leading projects, building and maintaining key client relationships, and providing technical leadership across the structural discipline. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate good industry experience across the Energy and Resources sector.
About you:
- You are a Senior Structural Engineer with RPEQ qualification, or close to obtaining
- You have experience in the delivery of Structural Engineering services within the local energy and resources industry
- You are a strong communicator and respectful of your peers
- You have strong analytical and technical report writing skills
- Attention to detail is a given

Apart from working with a great group of people, you will be accountable for:
- Influencing and directing the Structural Engineering outcomes in conceptual design, front end engineering, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover, and operations whilst ensuring regulatory compliance
- Developing innovative solutions through the application of engineering knowledge and judgement, including, concrete supports, structures, skid design and structural design principles
- Structural construction scopes of work
- Ensuring engineering design is compliant with Australian Standards, guides and codes as appropriate, meeting industry best practice
- Technical leadership to the structural team
- Assisting with growing the team and developing engineers and designers
- Reviewing analysis models and calculations
- Carrying out complex structural analysis
- Preparing and reviewing assessment reports
- Growing the client base of the structural team
- Key client relationship management
- Liaising with vendors and suppliers
- Leading bids and proposals
