Our client specialises in Production and Processing projects Australia-wide. They are seeking a proactive Senior Supply Officer to be part of their mining and civil projects. Ideally, you will have 2 years experience in the procurement/warehousing space and have a background in leadership positions supervising teams of 5+ people.
This is a great opportunity to work with the Operations Manager and be the main contact where you can support the development and review of warehousing, purchasing, forward price agreements, leasing and contracts. You will take pride in being timely while being with creating requests for RFQ’s, ensuring goods, materials, or services purchased are of the required quality and affordability to deliver profitable and on-time projects.

The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a procurement/ warehousing role in the mining industry;
- Experience with purchasing, logistics, freight and delivery services.
- Experience with software systems such as PRONTO.
- Analysing expenditure and supplier arrangements to identify improvements and savings in procurement and logistics purchasing models;
- Identifying local and international suppliers and assist in procurement tender evaluation and supplier documentation as required;
- Ensuring that goods, materials, parts or services that are purchased are of the quality specific and that all economies are exercised;
- Providing regular progress reports to Management regarding procurement strategies and cost savings;
- Providing guidance and insights with purchasing responsibilities.
