About the Role:
In support of the department's Digital Strategy 2022-26, the Senior Support And Engagement Officer supports our schools, corporate units and staff to leverage digital technologies effectively, by providing expert advice on, and contributing to the solution of complex and difficult problems using evidence-based research and customer-centric design.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Prepare briefing material, submissions, papers and reports
- Effectively acquire, maintain and apply knowledge of relevant government processes, and review operational documentation to support the priorities and functions of the unit.
- Develop and refine reports, resources and support materials.
- Lead project activities and programs and undertake related administrative duties including representing the unit at meetings and other forums
- Build and maintain cooperative working arrangements between the unit, customers, stakeholders, partners and external organisations
Highly desirable skills and experience;
- Knowledge and experience of analysing and rapidly understanding emerging and horizon technologies and their potential impacts
- Business analysis and/or project management knowledge and skills such as Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) or Agile
- Knowledge and experience of educational research particularly in emerging technologies and innovation
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in a large, complex, operating environment
- Knowledge and experience of education contexts
