About the Position
Bond University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Support Officer to join our Information Technology Services team. This pivotal role involves assisting in the design, development, implementation, and support of audio-visual systems and technologies across the university. The successful candidate will provide expertise and support in various AV-related areas, ensuring the seamless operation of AV systems for critical university events and day-to-day functions.
This exciting position involves assisting in the technical design and implementation of AV technologies and systems, diagnosing and maintaining audio-visual systems, and providing expert technical advice. The role includes supporting video conferencing, cloud conferencing, and live streaming technologies, as well as administering and maintaining video management solutions, including content recording, editing, and delivery. The successful candidate will coordinate and deliver AV projects, managing time, cost, procurement, and budgets, and provide setup, operation, and support for AV technologies during critical university events. Additionally, the role offers design advice and support for blended learning technologies and infrastructure.
About the personThe ideal candidate is a highly motivated team member, with excellent communication and time management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Key competencies required:
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Audio Visual Services with relevant certifications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of audio-visual technology, including diagnostics and problem-solving.
- Proficiency with AV control systems, video teleconferencing, cloud platforms, live streaming, and video management solutions.
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in project management, including financial management, time management, and contractor management.
The salary range for this position is $76,940.14 to $79,098.33 (dependent on skills and experience) per annum, plus 17.5% superannuation.
