We are on the lookout for a compassionate, empathic and enthusiastic Senior Support Worker to join our team and empower our customers to live their life, their way. This particular Senior Support Worker role will be based at our Woodvale day centre and oversee the day to day running of the centre, onboarding of new customers, ongoing program development and risk assessments.
As a Senior Support Worker…
You will provide truly holistic person-centred care to our customers. You will be part of the customers team of Support Workers providing direct care to the customer via attendance at our Woodvale day centre. You will also assist them in getting the most out of their attendance, organise and oversee a variety of engaging and meaningful activities, close working relationship with other specialist providers as well as ensuring compliance within the centre.
Other aspects of the Senior Support Worker Role include providing direct line management and leadership to a group of Support Workers including coaching and mentoring.
You will be passionate about engaging our staff, customers, their families, and finding satisfaction from supporting our customers in maintaining their independence at home, or in the community.
Our ideal Senior Support Worker...
Experience working in Aged Care as a Support worker.
You will celebrate diversity and an inclusive culture, through positive relationship building, and respect freedom of expression and the independent decision making of our customers.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, and you will need:
- Current National Police Clearance (obtained within last three months)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current certification in First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009)
- Full Australian Driver’s Licence
- Certificate III in Individual support, Allied Health or above
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Evidence of Influenza vaccination
