The Role:
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our participants and their primary caregivers. As a vital member of our care team, you'll be instrumental in helping individuals achieve their personal goals and maintain their independence. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including providing assistance with daily living activities, community support, personal care, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting participants in all aspects of daily living, including personal care, health, personal hygiene, and domestic duties.
- Accompanying participants to therapy sessions, medical appointments, and social/community activities.
- Implementing key strategies in accordance with medical and allied health professionals' instructions.
- Ensuring compliance with participant guidelines during activities.
- Ensuring documentation, incident reports and case notes are comprehensively written.

- Capable of providing personal care, including support for continence.
- Proficient in computer, communication, and language skills for daily reporting needs.
Qualifications/Clearances:
- Certificate IV in Individual Support (Disability and Aged Care), Mental Health or equivalent - or demonstrated experience of working with people with complex needs.
- Minimum 3 years experience.
- Current Driver's License and access to your own vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- NDIS Worker Screening.
- Working with Children Check.
- Current Police Clearance.
- Experience working with disabilities, mental health, and challenging behaviours.
- Completion of NDIS Modules Orientation, Induction, supporting safe and enjoyable meals, supporting effective communication.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Current Manual Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Current Medication Administration or willingness to obtain.
