Under general direction, the Senior Support Worker ensures participants live as independently as possible in the community and enjoy the lifestyles of their choosing. The Senior Support Worker will apply established procedures, methods and guidelines to achieve outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise staff to ensure participants are achieve goals and desires in all facets of their life though skill development
- Actively contribute to the review of plans and programs in addition to ensuring their effective implementation
- Support a positive and homely environment and engage in person-centred active support
- Implement person centred support plans and developmental programs to achieve goal outcomes for the participant
- Supervise staff in day-to-day practices
- Support the professional development of team members
- Forward planning of rosters and emergency rostering
- Current 'C Class' Driver's Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or DHS Disability Clearance.
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 & HLTAID001) - must maintain currency
