Senior Systems Engineer

Seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer to join an established team.

Your new company 
Yournew department provides sounds economic analysis and informed and impactfulpolicy advice on issues such as the economy, budget, taxation, the financialsector, foreign investment, structural policy, superannuation, small business,housing affordability and international economic policy. Your department workswith state and territory governments on key economic, business and socialpolicy, and manages federal financial relations.
Your new role 
As the Senior Systems Engineer you will be supporting the delivery of various projects within the 24/25 IT and Cyber Security Work Program, as well as BAU priorities as required. You will be providing a range of services including, but not limited to, Infrastructure hosted in Azure and on-prem, VMware and end-user systems, with a focus on modelling applications such as R and SAS Viya.
In your role your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: 

• Leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT systems and infrastructure. 
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system reliability. 
• Conduct thorough evaluations of new technologies and solutions, recommending and implementing those that align with business objectives. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and design solutions that meet their needs.

What you'll need to succeed 
Asthe successful candidate, you will have demonstrated experience and ability in:

MS Server and Desktop SOE and application packaging 

Azure AD, MECM / Intune, AVD, M365 Apps (One Drive, MS Teams, Office) 

Scripting Languages (Powershell, VB Script, Batch, R, and Python) 

Application Whitelisting 

VMware VSphere and ESXi

*Successfulcandidate will be an Australian Citizen with a Baseline Clearance*

• An initial  contract up to 12 months, with the possibility of a further 12 month extension. 
• Flexible working arrangements, with the possibility to work from home 2 - 3 days per week.
