About you:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- A positive and adaptable attitude, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Solid tax accounting experience, with 5 year plus years of full-time experience in a business services accounting firm.
- Currently studying or completed CA/CPA qualifications.
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
About the role:
- Correct completion of all types of taxation returns, financial statements, and other compliance matters, together with Client and departmental inquiries on same within a reasonable time.
- Ensuring compliance with the Income Tax Assessment Act, Corporations Law, Land Tax Act, and Accounting Standards when preparing Tax Returns and financial statements for Clients.
- Prepare Payment Summary reconciliations, payroll tax returns, and FBT Returns for Clients when required.
- Handling Client's telephone queries as directed.
- Direct contact with Clients, bank employees, and third parties regarding queries in the preparation of all returns and financial statements.
- Handling tax department audits, inquiries, and correspondence on Client's behalf in accordance with a Nominee's consent and instructions.
- Check assessments and draft assessment letters.
- Conduct face-to-face interviews with Clients only if a Nominee(s) approval has been given.
