Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of direct and indirect tax returns including GST, FBT, and income tax.
- Ensure timely and accurate quarterly tax forecasting and year-end income tax reporting.
- Identify, develop, and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of tax processes, driving continuous improvement.
- Assist in managing tax audits and reviews by regulatory authorities, ensuring robust compliance with existing tax regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CA / CPA (or close to qualification) is highly preferred.
- Experience in tax roles within large, complex corporate environments or major chartered accounting firms.
- Hands-on experience in preparing company tax returns and other compliance tasks is essential, with knowledge of tax effect accounting being a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of explaining complex tax matters clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with tax software, (eg: CCH Integrator / FBT OneSource), an advantage.
