You will join our EV Fleet Strategy team and will be working within the NSW Procurement Division. Read more about your future Group and Division.

Your day as a Senior Technical Analyst 

The Senior Technical Analyst – NSWG EV Fleet Strategy develops procurement intelligence, from a range of data sources, through business analysis, cost modelling, reporting, and performance analysis to inform procurement decisions, support performance improvement, and to enable stakeholders to meet business needs.

This role liaises extensively with other areas within Treasury, with NSW government agencies and equivalents in other jurisdictions across Australia, and with external stakeholders.

Achieve success as Senior Technical Analyst 

In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW. 

You will be successful in this role if you are: 

  • Desire to get involved and make a difference with a fun, outcome focused team
  • Treasury or government sector experience in financial analysis, program delivery or cluster operations
  • Good communication skills, open to sharing and contributing ideas
  • Strong self-management capability and self-motivated, driven, hungry for success & willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder engagement & influencing skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and provide technical advice and support.
  • Forward thinking ability & innovative approach
  • Previous experience working with EV transition projects and fleet
  • Possess sound EV industry knowledge, with the ability to actively monitor industry trends and investigate / onboard new products and services, including upcoming EV models and EV supply equipment,
  • Possess understanding of up-to-date EV technology , e.g. EV batteries, AC / DC charging, static / dynamic load management, charging management platform, portable charging, e-Roaming solutions, fuel cell electric vehicles etc.
  • Possess knowledge in electric vehicles adoption requirements, including but not limited to business planning requirements, EV range coverage, charging infrastructure setup lifecycle and risk management.
  • Experience in quantitative data analysis supporting EV fleet adoption

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Previous experience working with EV transition projects and fleet
  • Electric Vehicle experience, qualifications, or Electrical trade experience (beneficial)
  • Management consulting experience in automotive / EV space (beneficial)
