About the role
Our government client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to conduct analysis of business requirements and evolve those requirements for technical design and implementation of solution components.
Key responsibilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Apply governance processes to ensure the quality assurance of technical products delivered by suppliers.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications incorporating analysis of maintainability, scalability, security, supportability, usability, and other non – functional requirements.
- Define key test scenarios and carry out verification testing to ensure the solution is complete and meets agreed business requirements.
- Provide support to builders and testers to ensure the required solution outcomes are achieved, including assistance with documentation, and testing of defect fixes and changes.
- Provide advice on database, desktop, infrastructure (server and operating system), infrastructure (virtualisation and storage), mobility, software and telecommunication solutions, products, and services to internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- Experience with the SDLC
- Experience in one or more of the following technical specialities:
- Database
- Desktop
- Infrastructure (server and operating system)
- Infrastructure (virtualisation and storage)
- Mobility
- Software
- Telecommunications
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
- Use of fit-for-purpose tools to record and manage requirements for the documentation and management of quality assurance.
- System analysis activities on complex Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products
- Awareness of ITIL framework or similar process methodologies
- Awareness of PRINCE2 and similar project management methodologies
- A degree level qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science
